Russo's grows over 12,000 Daffodils each year.
Daffodils are one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring. During the still cool months of spring, their bright color cheers up the gray landscape of yards and flowerbeds.
A member of the Narcissus family, Daffodils are found in the woods of Europe. It is believed that they were brought to Britain by the Romans who thought that the sap from daffodils had healing powers. In truth, the sap contains crystals that can irritate the skin.
Daffodils are very easy to grow and are perfect for New England gardens. They are tolerant of cold, even with snow and are grown to the Canadian border.
